Add note or assign script text display jumps

when i do

Add note or assign script text…

1. I first have to select the panel i want to modify

2. then double click ON THE WORDS “add note or assign script text”

that seems a bit odd (and frustratingly difficult to hit the sweet spot)

and when I finally hit it properly and go into edit mode, the panel jumps to the top of the display, so now I have to re-orient my focus.

can we just leave it where it was when i started editing? and perhaps make getting into the “add note or assign text” mode smoother?
