DRAWING TOOLS individual settings

It would be nice if drawing tools (pencil, pen, marker, etc.) could remember their settings (color, density, etc.)

When I storyboard on paper, I have my HB pencil, a black fineliner pen, and a light gray Copic marker out, and though I usually do pencil roughs first, ink lines next. and then some shading, in that general order, I also go back and forth between tasks as the storyboards get fleshed out.

I don’t like having to open various palettes to switch colors or density presets. I think each tool should remember how it was set up rather than take on the settings of the previous tool.

At least an option for this behavior would be appreciated.
