Zoom/Pan in Focus Mode

One of the great things about drawing digitally on a screen tablet or iPad-like device is the ability to work in whatever scale feels best. The physicality of drawing is particularly important when one is drawing all day, every day. Some artists work zoomed out when drawing rough and then go in tight for filling in details, for example. For storyboarding, I actually like drawing small (smaller than your Focus mode) because it naturally limits the detail, and allows me to concentrate on composition. Focus Mode should allow the artist to zoom/pan freely, preferably via hand gestures, because anyone with an iPad and ProCreate or Photoshop, etc. is already used to pinching and stretching and panning with two fingers.

Allow for drawing outside of the frame, especially in notes area

Typically the area outside the frame is used for text notes, of course, but also for diagrams and details to augment the storyboard. This is one advantage printed storyboards have over video storyboards, and the reason that we still use printed storyboards in Japanese animation. I see that your UI allows for drawing outside the frame (that’s a good start), and this even makes it onto the final PDF. This functionality should be extended to allow the user to draw further outside the frame or, for that matter, reposition the frame within a larger canvas. I have attached a typical printed page illustrating some of the details that end up out of frame. It would also be nice to allow for a user-specified logo in the corner of each page.
