ShotGlide 2.0 is live on the App Store! 🎉

This is the biggest ShotGlide update yet, and many of its new features came directly from your feedback and requests. Thank you to everyone who shared ideas, reported issues, and helped shape this release.

Here’s what’s new in version 2.0:

NEW

  • 9 aspect ratio: 16:9, 2.39, 1.85, 1.66, 4:3, 1.90, 1.43, 1:1, 9:16

  • Export your board as a video animatic

  • Visible shot timings in seconds, frames, or koma

  • Lasso selection to transform any part of your drawing

  • E-konte PDF export for anime production

  • New Solid brush and adjustable eraser sizes

  • Custom shot labels, freeze numbering when inserting shots

  • Background image opacity for tracing

  • Single-frame JPG export from Focus Mode

  • Apple Pencil Pro: double-tap or squeeze to switch tools

IMPROVED

  • Eraser removes only your strokes, images stay untouched

  • Progress indicator when dropping multiple images at once

  • More responsive drawing in Focus Mode

  • PDF export: all scenes or just the current one

  • Improved backup & restore, even for very large projects

Thank you again for all the feedback. It genuinely helped shape this update.

I can’t find the lasso tool – how do you select part of your drawing? 🤔 I prefer to click on the pencil and eraser icons to use them, but when I click on the pencil, the window stays open – it’s a minor thing, but it’s a bit of a nuisance.

Hi! For the lasso: in Board View, long-press on your frame with your finger, then tap Select and draw a loop with your Apple Pencil around the part you want. You can now move, scale, rotate or flip just that selection. The transform tool is also coming to Focus Mode in the next update, so you'll be able to edit without leaving the full screen drawing view.

Thanks for flagging the pencil panel issue. It's supposed to open only when you tap the pencil while it's already selected, not when switching from the eraser. We'll fix that in the next update. Thanks.
