ZERO LENGTH SHOTS

It seems that we cannot set shots/frames to zero length (i.e., no time allotted). I often use a second or third frame in the board to describe elements of the shot in more detail (to highlight what particular layers of a comp are doing, for example) and, though I don’t want those to show up in the video animatic, I do want them in the PDF. And I don’t want them influencing overall runtime/

Please give users the ability to set a shot’s length as 0.0 so that the relevant frame will be skipped over during playback but rendered in the PDF.

Maybe a way to do this already exists.

Thanks for the clear use case. Detail frames that belong in the PDF but not in the animatic make a lot of sense. We’re adding this to ShotGlide 3.0. Any frame you set to 0 will be:

    • skipped in playback and in the video animatic

    • kept in Board View, Page View and the PDF

    • left out of the total runtime

    Thanks again for the feedback.
