In Board View, tap the Play button in the upper-right of the top toolbar to play your storyboard in full screen.
Playback starts from the beginning of the scene and uses the default timing of 1.5 seconds per frame unless customized.
For more controls, enter Focus Mode by double-tapping any frame, then in the top toolbar, upper left:
Play from Start
Play the scene from the first shot.
Play from Here
Play from the current shot.
Shot timing
Every shot uses the Default timing unless you give it a custom one. The current shot's timing is shown in the center of the top toolbar: use β / + for quick adjustments.
For more precise adjustments, tap the value to open the timing panel.
Timing panel
The top section controls the current shot: the blue box shows its live timing, and the arrows next to the shot name let you navigate without closing the panel.
You have several ways to quickly adjust the timing of a shot:
β / + β step the value in the blue box. Hold to accelerate
Presets β tap a common duration (1s, 1s12f, 2s...)
Jump buttons β add or subtract 1 frame, 12 frames, or 1 second in one tap
Use default β remove the custom timing from the current shot
Reset all β clear all custom timings in the scene
The bottom section controls the Default timing used by all non-customized shots.
Time display format
Timings can be displayed as seconds (1.5s), seconds + frames (1s12f), or koma (1+12k), the notation used in Japanese animation production.
Open the sidebar from Board View, then tap the project settings button at the bottom (showing your ratio | fps) to set:
Frame rate β 24, 25, or 30fps
Time display format β seconds, seconds + frames, or seconds + koma
Show timings β display each shot's timing directly in Board View
