Basic workflow

ShotGlide is an iPad storyboarding app built for directors.

It was designed to replace a very specific workflow: drawing on paper, cutting frames, taping them back together, and renumbering everything by hand every time a scene changes.

With ShotGlide, your board stays flexible. You can move, insert, or remove shots instantly, with automatic renumbering.

You can organize your film into scenes and switch between them in one tap.

You can duplicate a scene to explore alternate cuts, try different pacing, or test new ideas without breaking your original version.

You can add notes next to each shot and export a PDF ready to print exactly as you built it.

Everything stays editable at all times.

The core workflow

  1. Create a project

  2. Draw shots with Apple Pencil or import images

  3. Reorder shots freely until the sequence works

  4. Create new scenes to continue boarding your movie

  5. Review in different views or playback

  6. Add notes or assign script passages to your shots

  7. Export as PDF or JPG image sequence
