The dashboard is the first screen you see when you open ShotGlide. It lists all your projects and lets you create, open, or delete them.

On the dashboard

  • New Project β€” create a new project

  • Project cards β€” show the project name, number of scenes, and total shots. Tap to open

  • Trash β€” access deleted projects and scenes.

  • Backup & Restore β€” import a project or restore all app data. Please see Backup section.

Choosing an aspect ratio

When you create a new project, you pick its aspect ratio. 9 formats are available:

  • 16:9 (default) β€” best for most projects

  • Cinema & Television β€” 2.39 Scope, 1.85 Theatrical Flat, 1.66 European Widescreen, 4:3 Classic TV

  • Premium Cinema β€” 1.90 Digital Large Format, 1.43 70mm Large Format

  • Social & Mobile β€” 1:1 Square, 9:16 Vertical

Note: the aspect ratio applies to every frame in the project and can't be changed later, so pick the one that matches the format of your film.

Rename a project

To rename a project:

Open Project β†’ Open Sidebar β†’ Double-tap the project name

Returning to the dashboard

From inside a project, open the sidebar and tap Home.

Your work is saved automatically.
