You can export your storyboard as a PDF, an image sequence, a video animatic, or a single still frame.

PDF Export

Open Page View and choose a layout. With 1 + text or E-konte, also choose typed or handwritten notes. Then tap the PDF button.

What you see in Page View is exactly what prints. See Flow View and Page View for the layouts.

In the export modal, you can set:

  • Scope — export this scene only or all scenes in one PDF

  • Paper size — A4 or US Letter

  • Header — none, or project & scene names

  • Date — export date, a custom date, or none

  • Timings — print shot timings

  • Page total — show the total page count

Tap Create PDF to generate the file.

Video and Image Exports

Tap the Export button in the top toolbar, in Board View (right after the Park / Media Bin button) or in Focus Mode, then choose:

  • Video — exports the active scene as an .mp4 video, using your shot timings and the project frame rate

  • Image sequence — exports all frames in the active scene as numbered JPG, PNG or Transparent PNG files inside a ZIP file. Frame names use your shot numbers, including linked-frame letters such as 12A, 12B, and 12C

  • Still Frame — exports the current frame as a single JPG, PNG or Transparent PNG. Only available in Focus Mode

For each export, choose one of three styles:

  • Clean Frame — the frame content without the guide overlay

  • Full Frame — the full board tile as it appears inside ShotGlide, with the guide visible

  • Guide Crop — only the area inside the guide

For Video and Image sequence, tap Create to generate the file.

Formats

Image sequence and Still Frame come in three formats:

  • JPG — smaller files, white background

  • PNG — best quality, white background

  • Transparent PNG — your drawing only, on a clear background, ready to layer in other apps. Imported images are left out

Saving a Still Frame

  • Name your file, then tap Export as file to save it to Files, AirDrop or Mail

  • Or tap Save to Photos to add it straight to your photo library (JPG and PNG only). The first time, your iPad asks for permission
